Kinkade....?

I had an assignment for my Contemporary Art class, and it was to (for me) make a painting similar to the style of Thomas Kinkade. Did I pull it off? Probably not. The amount of detail he puts into his paintings is ridiculous! So I went for his "highlighting" dealy and tried to mimic that as best I could. This was pretty fun to do overall. Not often do I paint environments with colors.

Leyendecker Study 01

Just a semi-quick study of one of J.C. Leyendecker's paintings. His paintings are soooooo nice! And just trying to figure out the way he paints... is truly a difficult task and challenge. I hope one day, I can get half as good as him.

Ninja

Hmm.. I wanted to do a semi futuristic combat ninja type character, and this is what I got. Now a ninja, something I have not drawn in a really really long time. It was fun to do.

"Save the cheerleader, save the world"

A semi-quick portrait of Hayden Panettiere.

Had another art block thing to do my own character/drawing, again... So I thought I'd just finish something I started last week.

Not sure how this will turn out on other people's monitors, might be a bit dark since I'm on my laptop.

Hope you guys enjoy!

Darth Maul

As the title says, Darth Maul.

I had one helluva time trying to give him a cool full body pose, but kept failing miserably. So I decided to do a half body shot haha

Art block is not fun at all.
